The story of Serica comes from the Silk Road bringing us the traditional recipes of historical civilizations that started thousands of years ago from the Tian Shan (God Mountains) and extended to Istanbul.

The gastronomy scope of the Gokturk Civilization, which is a nomadic and conquering society and Turkish communities have a sense of belonging, is very extensive, as well as, other nomadic civilizations that left their mystical gastronomic signatures on the Silk Road also have different preservation methods and cooking techniques. Many special methods and flavors, from pastries to bread, from kebabs to fermented products, were extended to the Istanbul from İpekyolu and spreaded to the West from the Istanbul Palaces and Eminönü Port in the past. Today, this gastronomic journey is the root of the most well-known Turkish dishes. Serica's menu was created by the famous chef Tolga Atalay, bringing together the flavors that the Silk Road has given to the world gastronomy, and with the great contributions of gastronomy historian Özge Samancı. Every detail in the recipes that make up the menu preserves the traces, smell, and color of this historical gastronomic heritage.

Serica presents the emotions and flavors of this giant route with a completely different design approach. It interprets materials from the past and real Turkish culture, such as kokorec, kumiss, saffron, and kefir, to the present day by reflecting the spirit of the seasons. Serica kitchen team, working with a masterful delicacy without deforming the original tastes and the lifestyle of those periods, works to bring the Silk Road heritage back to life in our meals today.
The view of the historical peninsula surrounds Serica in an environment that combines natural materials such as wood, copper, and marble in harmony with the dishes inspired by the Silk Road.
